Ignition coils are needed to boost the power from your Vauxhall Insignia battery to the spark plugs and create the electrical spark which in turn ignites the fuel. They are a common wearing part in all engines. In cars that have separate pencil coils it is always the temptation to replace just the one that is faulty.
