Website usage & conduct
You agree to be solely responsible for all activity and your account details and passwords of this website and to abide by all Irish state and international laws and regulations applicable. You agree to be responsible for all usage by you and through your account through all acts or omissions including all content and transactions.
Claims
We take pride in our high level of customer satisfaction and our service reputation and we put the customer first. You are entitled to return a product up to 7 days after you have received the goods. Your order can be altered or cancelled up until the goods are dispatched, please note we target same day dispatch of orders received before 4 pm. Dispatched orders can be returned to us at your own expense for a refund (excluding delivery costs).
If you receive goods that are faulty or your delivery was damaged contact us and we will issue a replacement or refund. Damaged goods claims will not be entertained once the goods have been signed for, please ensure to specify the damage on the delivery docket, and do not accept the package.
Contract of Sale
No “Contract” for the supply of Goods and/or Services will come into existence between you and motorparts.ie until we accept your order (however given) by issuing you with an email confirming that your order has been dispatched, or start performing the Services (whichever is the earlier). We will deem acceptance complete and communicated effectively on motorparts.ie sending the email to you whether or not you receive or read that email.
Each order by you to us will be deemed to be an offer by you to purchase Goods and/or Services subject to these terms. Each order placed by you to us will constitute a separate contract.
Core price charges
Some parts (i.e. alternators, starters, steering racks) require the return of the old / failed part that is being replaced. This is called a core. These cores are then returned for remanufacturing whereby the parts are completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and all faulty and wearing components replaced with new original quality components.
A core charge is designed to allow the cost price of the parts to be reduced for the customer by refunding the return of the old part. It also helps to ensure a percentage of vehicle components are recycled to aid the environment.
Where core exchange units are purchased, you will be invoiced with the sum referred to as a surcharge which is in respect of the old unit that you may return to us. If the old unit is returned within seven days from the delivery date a refund will be issued by us in respect of the surcharge, provided that the old unit is identical to the unit purchased and in the condition, in our sole discretion which enables it to be re-manufactured. Please contact us for an authorisation
Vehicle Registration Look-up
The car registration look-up tool provides a quick and easy method to access the parts you require for your vehicle, this data is provided by the Vehicle Registration Office, thus accuracy of data may be limited.
Therefore there is no guarantee that parts found using this service will be 100% correct for your vehicle. It is your responsibility to ensure that elements of the ordered parts match the requirements of your vehicle.
Whereas the car registration look-up tool breaks the search down to your vehicle model, year, engine size and fuel type, there are changes made by the vehicle manufacturers, along with different specifics which need to be compared. For example, many vehicles of the same model may or may not have ABS, Sports Suspension, Air Conditioning, Power Steering and so on, none of which is identified by Vehicle Registration details. Check the "Notes" tab for the specifics of each part to your model, particularly when presented with a number of options to select from. Motorparts.ie will not be held responsible for options which are selected incorrectly.
Delivery time
We value your custom and strive to provide a service that is second to none. All ‘Tracked Priority Deliveries’ received before 4PM are shipped the same day for delivery to you within two working days. The majority of deliveries are received the following day.
All order's and subsequent invoices are processed in the evening before close of business (5.30 pm). Tracking Numbers are sent during processing to customers where applicable.
If we are unable to ship an order on time we will contact you immediately to inform you. You will appreciate we cannot advise on specific times of delivery and we confirm that all deliveries will be made during business hours only. Should the courier be unable to obtain a signature and acceptance of delivery at the indicated address, notification will be left for the addressee to arrange collection or agree a new delivery time.
Some fragile products, particularly body panels, require specialist couriers given their large dimensions and fragile nature. Therefore delivery is limited to large urban areas for these products. To be assured of delivery please contact us for confirmation before placing an order.
Motorparts.ie reserves the right to ship with any courier service deemed appropriate for any order and also to ship any order in multiple shipments should the need arise. Whereas every effort is made to send your goods as quickly as possible, you accept Motorparts.ie does not have control over excessive delivery days taken by couriers. Ownership of paid goods transfers to the purchaser on dispatch and Motorparts.ie will not be held responsible or liable for timely deliveries. For further information please see our Delivery Information.
Fitting & Safety
You agree to read and carefully abide at all times by any instructions or manuals that come with our products. These instructions and manuals are a guide and are not meant to be comprehensive; if, having read these instructions you are unsure about the use of a product, you should seek expert advice. The warranty on parts constitutes them being fitted by a suitably qualified person. It is your responsibility to ensure that all goods are installed by a person qualified to fit them.
Standard safety procedures and precautions (including the use of safety goggles and proper tools and equipment and exact compliance with the instructions included with products) are strongly recommended at all times to limit the possibility of personal injury or death or improper service which could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety.
At motorparts.ie we utilise the very best in available software programs which are constantly updated to ensure the most accurate application references possible. It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to ensure the items ordered by you are correct for your application, prior to installation or painting, etc. All dimensions of products supplied must be noted and checked by you. Many of the products are of a technical nature and although our software is as advanced as possible, we cannot always guarantee that a specified part will be a correct application part particularly as models overlap when new models are launched.
Products & Specifications
All products supplied by us are subject to availability. We reserve the right in the event that we cannot supply you with the products you have ordered, to supply you with substitute products of equivalents or matching quality and equivalent specification.
In the event that you do not accept such substitute products, we shall arrange and be responsible for the cost of collecting such substituted products from you; subject to the products not been used (such as any smell or without limitation fuel, toxins or rubber shall invalidate any refund due to you) and where applicable, must not have been removed from the sealed clear packaging.
This includes electrical items, which are supplied in the sealed clear packaging. Given the nature of the car components market and ongoing improvements through research and development, we also reserve the right to supply goods of a modified design provided any modifications do not make the goods unsuitable to any application you have made known to us.
Pricing of Goods
The price for the goods shall be the invoice price which will reflect the current price at date of supply of the goods. In the event of any discrepancy between the electronic price and the invoice price, the invoice price shall prevail.
We will inform you if there is an increase in price before we process your order for any of the above reasons. Motorparts.ie reserves its right to revise prices without notice prior to any provision of goods.
All prices are inclusive of VAT. The current VAT rate in Ireland is 23%.
Part Numbers
Please note that all product reference numbers are Motorparts.ie own catalogue numbers and not the manufacturers product numbers.
The product you receive will bear the manufacturer's part number as opposed to our catalogue number.
Termination of Website or Customer Account
Motorparts.ie may at its own discretion terminate the website with or without cause with immediate effect. We may also at our discretion suspend or terminate the supply of any Goods or Services for any violation of these terms and conditions.
We will not be obliged to supply any Goods and Services ordered by you unless already paid for. The termination of this contract will not affect the respective rights and liabilities of each of the parties thereto which accrued prior to such termination nor any provisions which expressly or implicitly are to remain in operation at termination.
Returns Policy
In the event you have received faulty or incorrect goods, or you decide to return and/or exchange them you must contact us within seven days of you receiving them.
Unless otherwise agreed, Motorparts.ie will deduct all postage and packaging costs incurred, from refunds of returned items.

Any items returned to us must have an authorisation number which will be clearly marked on the parcel’s address label. Deliveries to us without this authorisation number displayed will be refused. Items which are incorrectly supplied and/or returned as new in their original packaging, shall be refunded, exchanged or replaced if they are returned within 30 days of the date of purchase. Proof of purchase in the form of our invoice must be provided. If in the event an invoice is unavailable, a bank or credit card statement may suffice at our sole discretion.
Please note that we will not accept any returns back after 30 days.
“Special Order” means any goods that are not held in stock by us (a non-stock item) and are therefore ordered and/or manufactured specifically as per your request.
Please note the following items will not be accepted for return:

It is imperative that the Goods we supply to you are new and unused. Electronic components when misdiagnosed can easily be damaged and therefore we cannot accept their return.
Handling Charges
Please be advised that Handling Charges apply on all returned items (unless stated otherwise by motorparts.ie).
Needless to say, there are a number of associated costs with every transaction through Motorparts.ie.
Therefore, costs, including outward postage and packaging, will be deducted from refund amounts.
