The rubber mountings throughout the suspension of your Ford Focus have a lot to endure on our roads. There are steering bushes, suspension bushes, axle bushes and engine and gearbox mounts throughout the underside of your car, and they take the impact of every bump and bang as they help to protect and hold the multitude of joints. A worn bushing or mounting will pass the impact along to the joints causing you greater problems. Under the loads acting on the bushing the rubber will crack and deteriorate and this can cause the rubber mount to break and deteriorate. Regular inspection and replacement will save you money and keep you safer.
